Overview With the invention of the Permasep® hollow fiber reverse osmosis process, DuPont found a way to make bad water good. The product grew out of DuPonts pioneering work with nylon fibers, but has its origins in a program of fundamental membrane research launched in 1962. During the course of this work, DuPont scientists found that passing a solution through the walls of a hollow semi-permeable fiber was an effective means of removing dissolved materials. |
